Kellogg Canada, in partnership with Active Healthy Kids Canada, is making it easier for children to increase their physical activity levels both at home and at school with Kidz Count - a fun and interactive pedometer based program designed to get kids moving in the right direction, one step at a time. Through Kidz Count, children and their families will learn new activities to help build physical activity into their daily routine, encouraging them to make a lifelong commitment to active, healthy living. In addition, Kellogg's and Active Healthy Kids Canada are taking Kidz Count into schools by challenging classrooms to get active. Both parents and teachers can visit www.kidzcount.ca for simple activities, educational resources and strategies to help promote physical activity in a home or school setting.
The Canadian Health Network (CHN) is a national, non-profit, bilingual website. CHN's goal is to help Canadians find the information they're looking for on how to stay healthy and prevent disease. We do this through a unique collaboration - one of the most dynamic and comprehensive networks anywhere in the world. This network of health information providers includes the Public Health Agency of Canada, Health Canada and national and provincial/territorial non-profit organizations, like the Canadian Diabetes Association and The Canadian Child Care Federation as well as universities, hospitals, libraries and community organizations.
Dairy Farmers of Canada
The Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC) is a non-profit organization representing Canada's dairy producers. One of our goals is to increase awareness of the nutritional values and health benefits associated with dairy products. In both English and French, DFC provides factual, up-to-date, science based information on a wide range of nutrition subjects, primarily but not exclusively, those related to dairy products. We separate fact from fiction - dispelling the myths about dairy products and enumerating the known benefits. DFC promotes the wholesome goodness and outstanding quality of products made from Canadian milk. Look for the Canadian dairy products logo, the mark of excellence guaranteed by Canadian producers.
Bell Canada and Community Sport
Bell Canada is dedicated to connecting Canadian communities. It is our belief that sport not only rallies communities, but also brings people closer together and makes young people healthier and stronger citizens.
This is a belief we share with groups like the True Sport Foundation.
To further this belief, Bell and the True Sport Foundation have launched the Bell Community Sport Fund, consisting of $1 million in grants made available to any not-for-profit group in Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia or Alberta who are also committed to making sports more accessible to young people in their communities.

Ottawa Public Health and Ventrex Vending Services of Ottawa developed and tested this program in 2004. The program has been successfully expanded to 50 high schools in the 2004-05 school year.
