UPCOMING EVENT:
PEDIATRIC OBESITY - Reversing the Epidemic

Algonquin College, Ottawa - May 5 & 6, 2005

"Pediatric obesity is an epidemic careening out of control". This warning was issued in a recent report by Ontario's Chief Medical Officer. In fact, for many years pediatricians, dieticians, government officials, parents and educators have lamented this epidemic.

What can be done?
Where will the initiative come from to reverse this crisis?
What role can YOU play in the future?

This conference will offer a recipe for the creation of a positive epidemic. By bringing together experts who have a direct impact on the issue, and by identifying new ways to assess the societal factors that have caused the crisis, this conference will provide a recipe for the creation of a positive plan to address the attitudes and practices that have contributed to one of our greatest health concerns.
